Here you will find the church of the Assumption built in the 16th century with its unique bell tower and numerous bars restaurants and shops.

The best way to get to Competa is to go up from Algarrobo, pass Sayalonga and keep going up, or go up from Torrox Pueblo and then turn left.

It is a steep drive up to Competa but well worth the effort.
